Abstract

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of probiotic preparations on children with recurrent respiratory tract infections and their impact on their immune function. Method: 80 children with recurrent respiratory tract infections admitted to our hospital from May 2022 to May 2024 were randomly divided into a probiotic group and a control group using a random number table, with 40 cases in each group. The conventional group implemented conventional intervention measures, while the probiotic group combined probiotic preparations on the basis of conventional intervention. The treatment effects and immune function related indicators of the two groups were compared. Result: The total effective rate of the probiotic group was significantly higher than that of the conventional group, and the improvement of immune function indicators was more significant. The incidence of complications was lower than that of the conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Probiotic preparations can effectively improve the treatment effect of children with recurrent respiratory tract infections, improve their immune function status, reduce the risk of complications, and have clinical promotion and application value.
