With the continuous development of society and the frequent occurrence of public emergencies, universities, as vital institutions for talent cultivation, have increasingly emphasized the construction of emergency management systems. The ability of college students to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies is crucial for their safety and well-being. This paper analyzes the current status of emergency management in universities and explores pathways for establishing a robust emergency management system for students. Research indicates that enhancing emergency management for students requires improvements in information-based emergency mechanisms, volunteer team development, and emergency training. Additionally, universities should establish comprehensive emergency response mechanisms to strengthen students' awareness and capabilities in handling increasingly complex emergencies. The paper proposes several recommendations for optimizing emergency management systems for college students, offering valuable insights for university emergency management practices.
