The Research on the Leadership and Management of Minhong Yu
This study examines the leadership of Yu Minhong, founder of New Oriental Education & Technology Group, through the Five-Factor Model and SWOT analysis. It reviews key leadership theories, including trait, behavioral, contingency, and transformational approaches. The paper analyzes Yu's leadership traits—extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness—demonstrated during crises such as the "Double Reduction" policy reform. A SWOT framework identifies New Oriental's strengths and weaknesses, alongside opportunities and threats. Findings reveal that Yu's leadership combines transformational and authentic styles. The study offers practical insights for educational leaders navigating policy shifts and technological disruption.
